Hello! My name is Cambria, I am 23 years old and have been living in St. Louis for just over a year now. I am originally from California and recently graduated from University of California, Santa Cruz in March of 2022 with my Bachelor's of Arts in community studies. I have always enjoyed working with children and have babysat from a young age. I babysat and nannied throughout college and once I graduated I immediately applied to be a preschool teacher. While I love getting to know so many children and families, the current structure of early childhood education is very difficult to work in. I have found that nannying provides me a better work-life balance and also ensures I can care for children to the fullest. I care for children primarily using the Reggio Emilia philosophy which is a child-led approach that focuses on play-based learning, natural consequences, and Read more wholistic view of children's behavior. To me, the Reggio approach provides a perfect balance between structure and flexibility. I have the most experience working with children 2-10 years old, however I very much enjoy infants as well. I have limited newborn experience, but am more than willing to learn. I am CPR and first aid certified. I also have completed many courses through the Childcare Education Institute and the state of Missouri as part of my current job. These trainings include safe sleep and supervision trainings as mandated by the state. References available upon request.
