My name is Alyssa, and I have been an experienced childcare worker for 3 years now. I am CPR certified, First Aid Trained, Med trained, and disability trained. I also have daycare, respite care, and babysitting experience. With these experiences in mind, I consider myself very strong in tasks such as prepping healthy meals for children, handling big emotions, and putting a steady routine in place for the children to create stability. I very much enjoy working with children, their developing minds are so fun to explore! I am a big believer in going outside when the weather is nice, low screen time, and teaching independence as appropriate in their development. Coming from a daycare, I have experience in planning fun and engaging lessons for the kids in topics such as writing, story telling, basic math, and science! Both of these experiences give me confidence in multitasking, and meaningful ways to engage with a child. I believe that creating a relationship, not only with the child but with the parent, is extremely important and valuable.
