Hi, my name is Kennedy Abernathy and I am 23 years old. When I was younger my mom ran an in-home daycare, so I grew up around and taking care of kids. I started babysitting when I was around 11/12 and did that all through high school. I also worked in the child care room at the YMCA for two years during high school. For the past almost four years I have worked at a daycare in Columbia. Most of my time there I was a float meaning I worked in every room ages infant - preschool. For the past 7months, I have been a full time lead teacher in the preschool room. In addition, I worked with 3rd-6th graders for about 6 months when I was first hired (they did online school due to covid). I also worked as a nanny for a 7 year old this year. I Read more have completed many trainings through my daycare job. I am CPR certified and currently have a valid food handlers card.
