Hi, I'm Carolyn, and I have almost 2 decades of experience providing childcare in the KC Metro. My favorite thing about working with kids is how curious they are! I've worked with kids of all ages but my favorite ages to watch are toddlers. I also have experience working with kids with who are differently abled and have additional needs. I take a very interactive approach to childcare and am committed to being fully present with kiddos in my care when we are spending time together. I love storytime and spending time outdoors, but whatever the kids are into, I'm happy to join in playing with them (including video games), and I sometimes bring some of my favorite activities (boardgames and Frisbee) with me when I visit. I currently work full time in agricultural education for my primary job, and I practice non-violent communication. When I'm watching kids, my goal Read more isn't just to keep them physically safe, but to invest in and support all areas of their well-being and development during our time together. The families I've worked with for years have kids that have grown and don't need babysitters anymore- I'm looking to take on new client families who need regular-ish date nights and want to build an ongoing relationship with their childcare provider. I am generally available T, W, F, Sat 6pm-7am (I am available for overnights but the site only lets me list till 4:30am).
