My name is Janpaphat Kruekaew Duenke. I am from the southern part of Thailand. My academic achievements thus far include a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and Midwifery and a Master’s degree in Advanced Midwifery from the Prince of Songkla University in Thailand. I worked in a labor room and neonatal care facility for approximately 3 years, and I was a clinical instructor and lecturer (Assistant professor) in the field of midwifery for approximately 6 year at Prince of Songkla University, Thailand. I have also conducted several research studies. I have investigated the teaching process for nursing students; in addition, I have researched about how to best prepare nursing students for licensing examination for professional midwifery. Furthermore, I have studied about adolescent mothers experience with childrearing and I have conducted a qualitative research project about physical activity in pregnant women. In accordance with my previous research, I am interested in studying physical activity and life-style patterns to control weight gain in obese pregnant women. So, If it is possible, I expect to complete my Ph.D coursework by spring semester 2022. To be honest, I prefer classroom teaching and clinical teaching over research. However, I am interested in obese pregnant women and physical activity because exercise is a part of my healthy daily life. I always feel happy, sleep well, after doing exercise. I plan to stay in the U.S after graduation because I got married last year.
