Mara B.

Mara stepped in on very short notice to help us during a family wedding, which we greatly appreciate. Despite our youngest being unwell, she agreed to assist, for which we are very thankful. However, it seemed Mara might be relatively young and mentioned feeling tired a few times. She didn’t seem particularly engaged with the children, and we found it a bit challenging to connect with her (we didn’t notice much smiling). While we hope she connected more with the kids in our absence, during the times we were present, we didn’t observe much interaction. Additionally, Mara reached out several times during the babysitting session for non-child related matters such as Netflix login info, her phone battery running low, and inquiring if we would be returning home earlier than initially agreed. We are grateful for Mara’s support but would advise parents to consider their expectations regarding childcare warmth and engagement when choosing a sitter.

Mara is always on time and communicative. If we go too long without a date night, my kids are asking "When will we see Mara again??" Mara is the standard we measure others against when for discussing care for our children.

Mara is great my daughter warmed up to her right away she's flexible she stays in touch with me she even brought my daughter a toy on the first day I would definitely recommend her

Mara is professional and thorough. At our interview she asked a lot of really great questions trying to get to know our family and expectations. She has been easy to work with and my boys like her. She cleans up after herself and our boys while she's here and is eager to please.
