I have been an elementary teacher for 30+ years. I have taught grades K-3, with the majority of the years in first and second grades. Currently, I work part-time as a Title 1/Reading Interventionist. I have also raised two children who are currently in post-secondary schools working towards their careers. Children have always been a part of my life. I grew up making money by having several families that I was their "go-to" babysitter, along with a summer park and rec job that helped put me through college. Through my teaching experience, along with close family members and friends, I have experience with individuals who live with diabetes, autism, and other conditions that impact daily life. During my free time, I loved to knit, grow and tend to outdoor flowers, read, and take walks and bike rides.
