Hello, I’m Julia Deak, a recent graduate from Augsburg University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I will be student teaching come Fall 2022 with my licensure being completed this Summer. I am also the mother to a two year old (May 2020) daughter, Eliza Jane. I am interested in finding work as a Nanny or Babysitter for the Summer months. I have been working with children in a variety of settings, consistently since 2009. My work has included the following: volunteer work in classrooms, private full-time and part-time nanny, babysitter; regular, date night, etc., lead teacher in a professional childcare setting, and I am currently running a private After School Nanny Share program. When I am interacting with children, you’ll often find us playing outside and exploring a variety of activities from adventures to backyard/local park play. I bring fun activities with me oftentimes; items like a bouncy Read more house, bubble machine, ice cream making machine, chalk, hammocks, etc. I enjoy bringing art supplies from jewelry making, to shrink dink creations, creating board games, books or comics, painting from finger paint to water colors and acrylic (age appropriate). I enjoy introducing new ideas and activities for children to explore, a major hit has been my origami I bring. I enjoy finding activities that align with STEAM ideas. My current availability is the day after SSPS is released for the Summer- the last week of August. I am not available after 5 p.m. on Thursdays. *On the rare occasion my partner is out of town for work during my work hours, I ask that you are comfortable with me bringing my toddler along.
