I am a college professor in the final stages of her PhD, a licensed EMT, postpartum doula, infant specialist, and a seasoned nanny and babysitter with over a decade of experience. From multiples to postpartum care, infant overnights to tutoring teens, I have done it all! My hands-on experience, non-traditional approaches, and commitment to continuing education allow me to adapt to fit the needs of children and families. I have a quick, dry sense of humor, am an excellent problem solver, extremely flexible, patient, and love to embrace play. Additionally, I am comfortable and competent with sleep training, baby-led weaning, cloth diapering, medical needs, lactation support, baby wearing, Montessori, and Reggio Emilia. I have devoted time, energy, and resources to continuing education in newborn and infant care, early childhood education, Montessori, and Reggio Emilia. With older children and teens, I strive to meet them at their level and be a Read more role model and friend that is always in their corner. I love to empower them to be resourceful, independent, and thrive socially and emotionally. Tutoring and teaching are a significant part of my professional life, and I bring pedagogical expertise to the table. As a nanny or babysitter, I want to be more than just and extra set of eyeballs-- I want to be a "part of the team" so to speak! Excellent references available upon request.
