Hello! I am Kristy. I am a professional nanny with 24 years of professional experience caring for children ages birth though high school. I am highly skilled at creating developmentally appropriate spaces and activities for children to engage and thrive in. I’m committed to cultivating imagination and creativity through hands-on experiences with the world around us. Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Human Development with and emphasis in early childhood education and a passion for parent education. Some of the experiences I have provided include, but are not limited to, having a curriculum for each child’s individual needs, engaging all of their senses in our play, actively engaging with and exploring nature, teaching homeschool, potty training, fostering an environment that encourages and challenges them to grow in social, cognitive, physical, and emotional development, building lego empires and roller coasters, nail-biting checker matches, creative daily outings, themed summer nanny camps, Read more educational overnight trips, camping trips, dance parties, extensive fort/tent building, theological discussions, dramatic games of hide and seek, culinary skill enhancement (I love guiding the kids in baking, cooking, and experimental kitchen time), tutoring for children at all academic levels, writing and performing music, the reading aloud and dramatization of books, and a variety of hands-on art experiences. I love spending as much time outside as possible. Other responsibilities include scheduling and transportation to and from doctor’s appointments, extracurricular activities, school, play dates, and extended stays with children when parents are away. Other responsibilities have also included light housework, meal prep, running errands, organizing, house managing, and traveling with families. I can also assist in establishing and implementing routines and chores in new ways, creating systems that teach children about helping around the house and financial literacy simultaneously. I love traveling, especially to hike new trails with friends. I take a rather holistic approach to life - crunchy/healthy if you will. I love Jesus and my joy and peace come from Him (don’t worry, I definitely don’t push my views). I love experiments and messes with kiddos, don’t worry, we will have it cleaned up before you get home!
