I like working with kids because the world is so new to them, they have unique perspectives and so many different interests. Working with kids reminds me to find the simple joys in life every day. I spent more than 100 hours working in respite care for children diagnosed with ASD and it was the most rewarding experience of my life. I am looking to childcare employment because I can't imagine working somewhere where I didn't feel like I was making some kind of difference. My skills include First Aid, CPR and AED certifications, I am a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer, and I love creating new games to engage kids in active play that allow them to express themselves through physical movement or creative/artistic expression.
