I became a caregiver because I love taking care of people, young and old. I grew up around kids because my mother has owned an in-home daycare for the last 25 years with up to 8 children at a time ranging in ages from 2 weeks old to 14 years. There I would help prepare meals, change diapers, feeding, facilitating activities, etc. When I was old enough to work I was officially employed at her daycare as a full-time employee and have been helping her out since. I love taking care of children because I love how carefree and happy they are. Taking care of children gives me such a sense of fulfillment because they are our future and being there to help them grow up and care for them is one of the most beautiful things to me. I have 7 years of paid caregiver experience as well as Read more CPR/First aid certification as well as SIDS and SBS training. I have 3 years of caregiver experience that focused specifically on those with mental and physical disabilities.
