I am a recent graduate from MSU who lives in Saginaw, MI. I have a strong passion for working with people, and my favorite thing is when I can make a positive impact on the lives of others. I absolutely love interacting with children and believe I am a kid myself at heart. I always like to have fun and be silly, and am a very active person who loves going on adventures and being outdoors. Because I have a degree in nutrition, I am great with preparing food and have knowledge of healthy meals and snacks that nourish and fuel the body! I am CPR and First Aid trained and certified. I like to keep a clean house and am very organized. I also have grown up with pets all my life so am very comfortable with all kinds of animals. I have many years of experience caring for Read more children, from infants to teenagers. When I was about 12, my mother began an in-home daycare in which she helped raise multiple children over a span of 10 years. This gave me a lot of early experience having young kids in the home, and I got to help out with them every day after school. I loved getting to watch these kids grow from babies to toddlers to being ready to start school themselves. Additionally, I volunteered with a local church's Vacation Bible School program for 7 years, and was both a teen helper and then a teacher of my own class. As part of this program, I taught groups of children from kindergarten through 5th grade, and this experience taught me a lot of responsibility, along with how to balance a fun environment with order and structure. In college, I helped teach a volunteer program for middle school students called FitKids. In this program we taught the kids how to cook easy, healthy meals and snacks, led games and physical activities, harvested crops at an outdoor garden, and taught the kids lessons on nutrition. I also volunteered with The MSU special olympics program and helped tutor fellow students with learning disabilities. All of these experiences have shaped me into a capable, responsible, fun, creative, and passionate adult. I am sure you would always feel confident and comfortable knowing I am taking care of your loved ones.
