Hi My name is Leeanne Helchowski. I am a 42 year old stay at home mom of 2 children : Lucas who is 11 and Lily who is 8. My son Lucas is special needs and requires me as mom to take him to therapy after school, doctor appts, specialists, and so on. I have chosen to stay home to help provide my son and my daughter too what they need. My husband is one who works and provides financially for the family. Since I had to take a leave of absence for a while from being a Elementary School Teacher to take care of my children , I feel it would be nice to once in a while get out and do something that I enjoy which is working with children in a school setting, home setting, etc. Working with children is and has always been my passion. I Read more went to college and earned my degrees in Education. I absolutely love working with kids and watching them grow. Since graduating in 2005 from Oakland University I worked in various school districts as a substitute teacher doing long term sub jobs. I also taught preschool for a year, am the director of the preschool program for St. Therese Vacation Bible School, I volunteer at both of my kids schools through New Haven School District. I was also a school classroom aide in the ECSE Classroom at New Haven Elementary School and worked as a lunch aide in the lunch room. As mom I understand the importance of having "me time". A chance to get away for a few hours and have adult conservations and just take a break from the every day "mom" responsibilities. I am looking for a job where I can work here and there and make some money to help contribute to the financial needs of my family and not always have it where my husband is always making the money and paying for everything. It would be nice to say "hey hubby I earned some cash let me pay this time".
