Hi there! I'm Adrienne, I'm 23 years old and finishing my final year at WMU Online. I will soon be graduating with a Bachelors's degree in Biomedical Science with minors in Chemistry and American Sign Language. I was born and raised in Lambertville, MI. During the school year, I worked at Calico Corners Preschool, Daycare, and Infant Center in Kalamazoo, MI. I was there for almost 4 years, working 32 hours a week while juggling a full-time class schedule, and loved every second. I worked in the nursery which had three color categories of age ranges up to one year. I worked with the red group which are the youngest infants in the nursery. Each month I was required by the state to be trained in a variety of topics pertaining to child safety, their environment, and child development. Sadly, Calico Corners closed permanently in May 2020 due to Covid-19. Read more I miss my calico kiddos everyday, but i thankfully keep in touch with many of the parents via Facebook. During the summers of 2018 and 2019, I worked at an in-home daycare in Muskegon, MI. I worked full time with an average of 25 kids, ages ranging from infant - 12 years. My daily responsibilities included making breakfast and lunch for the kids, coordinating nap time, diaper changes, monitoring playtime, arts and crafts, sensory, and chaperoning field trips for the older kids.The past 2 summers of 2019 and 2020, I’ve had the pleasure of nannying full time for 2 boys ages 4 and 7. As well as this past spring I nannied for the sweetest 4 month old boy. I'm also experienced with caring for twins and special needs children, as well as being CPR certified, first aid trained, and I am a state-trained nurses aid. My passion for childcare began 8 years ago when I started babysitting. Since then, I have always worked in a daycare and have various families I babysit/nanny for in the Temperance/ Lambertville area when I'm home visiting throughout the year. Seeing life through a child's eyes is something I cherish and look forward to every day. I have a 5-year-old nephew named Maverick and a 2-year-old goddaughter named Aspen that I absolutely adore.
