If you happen to look up in the sky and see someone jumping from an airplane, it might be me! My husband (of almost 30 years) and I enjoy all sorts of adventure sports and the outdoors. We have one daughter who was married last year. I have loved children ever since I have been a child. I fulfilled my dream of being a teacher and took an early retirement in 2018. From there I did a few nanny jobs, and opened a one-room school house for 6 children between the ages of 4 and 12 during the pandemic. I have dabbled in other things, but my heart longs to be back with children. There is nothing like a 5 month old holding his arms out to greet you or a 5 year old running to give you a hug. I feel children are amazing, creative individuals, who, when empowered, Read more can and will change the world. I believe in giving choices and in mutual respect. I believe in working together as a team with parents. I believe all children learn best through imaginative and creative play and social, emotional, physical and educational skills grow through this as well. Whether we are being dinosaurs and tromping through the woods counting by fours (because dinosaurs walk on four legs - most of them) or sailing to another world in our pretend boat, skills are developing and children are having fun! I am a certified teacher, and have had approximately 3 years of nanny experience.
