I absolutely adore kids, listening to their entertaining thoughts about how they perceive the world and express their creativity! I believe that we need to put more time and effort into our youth, because they are our future, which has led me to a new passion for teaching. I actually intend on getting my child development certificate, so that I can hopefully advance further in this field. I currently work as a full time nanny for an amazing family that I found through this website. I’ve been with them for a year helping care for their 5 year old boy, 6 year old girl, cat, dog, and maintaining household chores. Both of the children have Cystic Fibrosis which requires me to administer medication and do breathing treatments with them. I’ve babysat many children over the years and always watched over my younger siblings. I was a straight A honor roll student that would help fellow classmates with subjects, so I know how to help kids with problem solving, as well as helping them relax afterwards by playing fun games or making crafts with them! In high school I was drum major of the band and stagecrew manager of our play for 4 years in a row, both positions requiring me to be in charge of 50+ kids at a time, delegating tasks, doing my own work, while maintaining a fun, safe environment for everyone. Additionally, my experience as a CNA has made me very patient, diligently accurate, and a fast learner. I worked in a nursing home for 2 years taking care of residents by feeding, bathing, clothing, transporting, changing diapers, and looking over their overall health. I’m an artist that loves to delve into many different categories such as writing, drawing, painting, photography, dance, sewing, DIY projects, and any other fun craft I can come up with! I’m constantly doing research on new things to try and would love the opportunity to share this with young minds and encourage the artist within them! Some other hobbies I enjoy are lot of outdoor activities including rock climbing, hiking, jogging, swimming, etc. I go to the gym as well, so I have lots of energy to keep up with the kids! I also love cooking and cleaning; I find it very satisfying and rewarding, so I definitely don’t mind helping out with any chores around the house! It’s a bonus if there are pets involved!!
