I am new to the caregiver profession but have personal experience. I have a 4-year-old daughter who I spent more than 3.5 years with taking away time I used for work and she was under someone else's care. I use every opportunity to teach children or reinforce things they should be learning for their age. I just hosted my first weeklong summer camp and it was a success as I was able to assist in potty training and the communication of ides with multiple 3-4 year old's at once as well as host field trips by the water while ensuring proper hydration during the heat wave days. My daughter's primary exposure to toys are for learning purposes and I urge all children around to learn and exercise learned skills while in my care in fun ways.
