We met and it seemed like a good fit and first and my daughter and her seemed to really hit it off! It was great and I was excited to meet someone since I had just moved as a solo parent 2 hours away from anything and everyone that I knew. We met in a public place and that went well so I scheduled something where she came to my house as a trial run while I was at home getting stuff done. She tried to flake out of that by saying she "had left her keys in her boyfriend's car" and then ended up coming over about an hour and a half later than she was supposed to. Besides that though, I thought that went well too so we scheduled a couple times a week for her to come over and it seemed wonderful! However, then came the first day she was supposed to come over--she was "sick and couldn't come over". I gave her the benefit of the doubt and she said she would message when she was feeling better and should be able to watch her the next time that we had planned. However, I never heard from her so I contacted her the day before and had to reach out twice in order for her to respond to me. At that point she informed me that she had accepted another job and couldn't watch my daughter. I was not given any notice and didn't even know she was looking for another position. So not only was that deceitful and unprofessional, but I also shouldn't have had to be the one who contacted her so the fact that I did creates huge trust issues. Beyond that, she left me high and dry knowing I had no other sitters, had already made commitments for both of the days she was supposed to watch her, and had no resources in the nearby vicinity. I absolutely would not recommend her!
