Hello! My name is Rebecca and I am an early childhood special education teacher in Grand Rapids. This is my sixth year of teaching special education after earning my degree at Hope College. I work with children on the autism spectrum, those with behavior challenges, physical and cognitive impairments, speech delays and non verbal children, and children who are globally delayed. I specialize in augmentative communication, sign language, using core boards, speech buttons and sentence strips to help promote communication. I am familiar and comfortable with feeding tubes! My main goal when working with children is to help promote independence and accessibility! I am looking to work with families during after school/ evening hours along with the occasional weekend nights!
