My first childcare experience was helping raise my brother for the first two years of his life, when I was 11. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer shortly after he was born and we were a single-parent family. From there, I worked as a riding instructor at a few different children's camps where I learned about risk management, child engagement, and communicating with kids ages 7-17. I love teaching kids to ride because it's so rewarding to watch them grow in confidence and watch their skills increase. As a nanny, I enjoy doing engaging things like visiting museums, aquariums, going on hikes or coastal adventures. I like to be on the move as much as possible, but I'm also comfortable with just hanging around the house reading or watching TV. I was a cook for about 3 years solidly and I still continue to cook in my free time Read more for myself, so good meals for your children won't ever be an issue. I'm also a self-employed cleaner so I am available to do additional cleaning/organizing tasks for an additional fee. I am CPR certified.
