Hi! My name is Mikaela Gutierrez, I am a college student pursuing a degree in Biology and a minor in American sign language. I am the oldest daughter and I have many small cousins I often look after. I enjoy pursuing hobbies such as baking, crafting, and photography. I have enjoyed providing childcare in my local area for the past 3 and a half years. This summer I am at home and I would love to pursue a job in childcare doing something I've always loved: investing in a child's life positively and helping that child grow in a loving, positive way. I am available to work weekdays and I am available most weekends. My mother taught me that a child should try to see the outdoors every day if possible whether it be flying a kite, sitting on the porch birdwatching, or even looking for earthworms in light rain. Read more One of the things I've learned, not only through living with my siblings and having a huge extended family, is that structure is important but so is appropriate flexibility. I do not mind housework or pets. I am available to help your child or children with homework in sign language, math (pre-calculus and below), and science (biology, chemistry, physics, and natural science) as well as other subjects. A plus of going to a nearby university is there will be the potential to form long-lasting relationships with my clients. Ultimately, I am here to serve your family and provide a safe and nurturing environment for your child.
