Hello. I am a 42 year old mother of 2 kids. A daughter who is 19 and a son who is 14. I was a stay at home mom when they were young and needed my full time care and attention. I also had a " in home daycare" if that's what you would call it because I always had kids at my house I watched. I've had 4 infants/toddlers at a time ( including the 1 of my own) and preschool to middle school aged girls as ( 1 was my own) I have a ton of patience and believe a routine for kids is a life saver. Seems to keep them on track. I don't just turn a TV on and use that as their entertainment. I like to do fun crafts and a learning playtime each time I had them. Rest time is necessary even if it Read more doesn't involve a nap all the time. But I do think kids of all ages need rest after having a busy few hours. Snacks and meals are important and when they are age appropriate it's fun to include them in helping make the things for them to eat. I do a lot of healthy snacks but do think making cookies and cupcakes holiday themed or for birthdays is ok to do. Even allowing them to decorate them the way they like can be a learning lesson. I have been called the " baby whisperer" from the parents of the kids because for some reason I've always had a way with them and most days they didn't want to leave lol. I love children of all ages but infant to preschool seem to be my specialty. Now that my kids are at the ages where they don't need mom as much I'm really missing the interaction, caring for, and activities that come along with a little person in your company to care for. I have a pretty open schedule, I am covid vaccinated and have experience from infant up. I can't promise to never have any messy activities to do so I do like to always have a set of play clothes on hand and in case they would need to change. Your little one will be in good hands with someone who enjoys their company and likes to help teach them new things while still allowing them to be kids doing so. I don't agree with strict rules and thinking there's never gonna be any accidents not made. Clean up doesn't always have to be a punishment or negative thing and when done right I have need known to even having little ones doing their own cleaning up at home when I'm not anywhere around, its all in how you go about things and the manner it's done in. Fun is as important as trust and I promise you'll trust your little one with me and if able you may have a talkative child telling you all about their time with me
