I have a brother who is a year older than me that has autism. I was raised by a single mother while she was away for work. I had to be the one to take care of him. I would cook for him when needed, clean up after him, help him with any work he had from school etc. Seeing him grow into this amazing human being has been an honor and a blessing. I also volunteer for my church bible summer camp for children as well. These experiences have blessed me with many opportunities to learn from those who are different from me and come from different backgrounds. I believe just because someone may be younger than you doesn't mean we cannot learn valuable lessons from them as well. Working with children is very important to me because they are the future of this world. When I am with Read more kids I encourage and feed their creativity as much as possible. Seeing them mature and grow into their own individual is an amazing privilege that I promise to protect!!
