I have a great deal of experience babysitting children. I began babysitting at 13. At 16, I nannied for 2 children (8 and 9) 5 days a week for 4 hours a day in the summer. I drove the children home from camp, and then cared for them until their parents returned home. At 17, I spent a few hours a day after school caring for a young boy with autism and his two sisters. Freshman year of college, I worked at a gym child care center where I individually watched up to 5 children at a time. The summer after my freshman year, I watched two young boys (3 and 1) every Friday night. In addition, I watched my niece back in Michigan 3 days a week (from the time she was 4 months old to 6 months old), while spending another day each week watching my neighbors 3 Read more grandchildren (ages 1, 3, and 5). That is when I moved to Austin. I graduated from The University of Texas Health Science Center with a Masters degree in Public Health in 2016, and then spent a year working in a doctor's office and watching two boys part time (5 and 7). I became close with the family and loved watching the boys, but an opportunity came up for me to take a fellowship position at the National Cancer Institute in cancer communications, so I moved to Maryland to pursue that. I can imagine that leaving your children with someone you don't know well can be intimidating, so please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns!
