Hey y’all! I am currently working towards my Ph.D. in experimental psychology through Texas Christian University, but this summer, I am in the University of Maryland - College Park area. Most of my childcare experience comes from working as a substitute teacher, volunteering in art classrooms, and acting as a camp counselor at STEAM summer camps, all within my local public elementary schools. I also have experience working with teens who were coming out of the criminal justice system, so I can handle older kids as well. Overall, I love working with children because they are inquisitive and active, and always seem to be down for a backyard bug exploration or a run around the park. I’m ready to go on outdoor adventures with them, or stay in playing Mario Kart and doing arts and crafts if that’s more their speed!
