Hi everybody! My name is Dory (like the fish)! I am a current grad school student pursuing a career in the National Park Service, and I am looking for some part time sitting on the side. I currently live in TN. I have always loved working with kids- I went to babysitting “school” at the library when I was 13 and my first job was at an afterschool program. I have since worked in public schools with ages pre-k through 8th. I worked as a full time substitute, as well at summer school programs and after school. I was frequently placed in special education classrooms, as it was a strong suit for me. I had up to 60 kids in classes at a time, so I am comfortable watching multiple kids at a time. I am trained as an emergency medical responder, with cpr and bloodborne pathogens trainings as well. Read more I have worked with babysitting infants ages 6 months and up as well. I truly love to work with kids of all ages. I am also happy to do light tidying, laundry, or meal prep for the kiddos. I prioritize making sure that the kids have a great day, so I tailor my babysitting to the individual child. I usually to try to make time to get outside and play, read books for a few minutes, and use our imaginations! Please reach out if it sounds like we would be a good fit!
