Hi! My name is Audrey, i’m 18 years old and am a senior at a local all girls private school in Newton. I grew up with babysitters who made it their priority to help me and my big sis live out our dream worlds! Either with toys/games, outdoor/indoor physcial activities and arts and crafts, I made the best memories. That is why I became a babysitter, and have been giving back to families in Newton since I was in 6th grade. I’ve mainly been responsible for multiple children that are of different ages, and am just as comfortable spending time with the kids while parents are working/busy at home as I am if they are away! I consider myself a creative, and emotionally in tune person which I believe makes it so easy for me to not only connect with kids but also make them feel heard and respected. I think it is so important to keep boundaries intact while acknowledging what the children are feeling and working with them to overcome the obstacle. The family I have continuously babysat for (6 years) had a child with ADHD and sensory/behavior issues and through watching and learning as him and his big sis grew up I have become accustomed to the unpredictability of kids, and different ways to engage and provide support! I am all in when it comes to families, connecting with not only the kids but also the parents. However, I am just as excited to work with your family if you wish to keep things exceedingly professional! Either way, I love to babysit no matter the circumstances of your home life. Im flexible and adaptive, but most of all very involved in the kids I babysit, I really do care. I live on Ward st, near Newton center and have a car! I go to school 5 days a week so weeknights or weekends are best for me. I am great to hit up last minute as an emergency babysitter due to my teenage age, I never book up that far in advance;) I can continue working with you guys for rest of school year and into summer before I go to college. Overall, I am excited and grateful for whatever grows in the future of the beautiful families I work with and the memories we make. I am also CPR certified through my lifeguard certification and am familiar with house chores as well as animal ones.
