Caring for children has always come naturally to me. I grew up caring for my younger brother while my mother worked full-time. I worked as a mother's helper all through middle school and in high school I always had babysitting jobs and eventually nannying jobs in college. I have cared for children of all ages, from just months old to 11 years old. Childcare and nannying remain to be the most rewarding jobs I have ever had. My childcare philosophy is safety first, fun second and learning third :) I have cared for infants since I was in middle school, and I have experience caring for both an infant and a toddler simultaneously. I love reading and singing with children. These are unique and traditional ways to have fun. I have been told I am creative and I have lots of ideas for crafts (Love arts and crafts) and I Read more spend as much time outside as possible. After college, I lived in Los Angeles and I worked at a daycare. Working at the daycare for a year was fun and I learned a lot about children of all ages--as young as 3 months. I was contracted by seven families who belonged to the daycare to be a babysitter and a part-time nanny. Due to the current situation this year with many schools being out of in-person session, I know I can help in ways other than just being the nanny to help watch kids. I feel fully confident in taking children through a workbook, textbook or assisting with remote learning.
