I believe I possess the necessary skills and enthusiasm to care for children. My education and previous and current employment have enabled me to leverage my capabilities and produce the best results when caring for children. I am very ambitious about my career in education/child care and I am confident that this eagerness and passion will go a long way contributing to caring for children. My work experience with children began at a young age; at the age of 12 I began volunteering at my church’s summer camp as a Jr. Counselor. During this time I would lead arts and craft groups for children ages 4 to 8. Throughout high school and college I worked as a Counselor/Tutor at a local after school program. While attending Framingham State University my studies have allowed me to gain knowledge needed to work with children. I've gained expertise in early childhood development to Read more promote the children’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being. I have acquired extensive knowledge in youth/adolescent behavior. I recently was employed at Youth Villages as a Behavioral Youth Counselor where I developed the knowledge of basic behavior management. While employed at Youth Villages I've gained outstanding ability to build emotional development programs. This past summer I also was a nanny (Summer of 2014). With every employment I have proven track record of developing rapport and relationships with kids and families. I’m currently employed at Jewish Family and Children Services where I work with individuals in the autistic spectrum on a 1 to 1 basis; where I continue to gain new skills in order to work with children with disabilities.
