My name is Julia Kautz, I am from Nahant MA, and I just finished my 2nd year at Northeastern University. My experience with childcare includes 5 years of working in an infant/toddler room and teaching a youth group at my church in Marblehead. For the last 3 summers I have taught a STEM camp at MIT, mentoring middle school aged students and making modules engaging. I was a writing, math, and humanities TA at the Devereux School in 2017-2019. I also served as a TA for middle schoolers in Debate, Math, Violin, and STEM. I volunteered at the Centerville school in 2017-2019 as well. My senior year I chaperoned a 9th grade class to France, where I lived for a month teaching math and acting as a traveling TA. Last summer I was a nanny for a family in Nahant with 3 children; ages one, four, and six. This past Read more semester I was a Patient Care Associate at Northeastern's covid testing center, where I provided screenings to all patients, ran samples to manifest, aided swabbers and MAs, prepared testing stations, completed training and adhered to HIPAA and OSHA regulations. At university I am studying biomedical engineering, am part of the Biomedical Engineering Society, Women in Engineering Society, Delta Zeta sorority, play soccer, and run track. I enjoy engaging with kids, playing sports outside, and cooking. I am also CPR certified.
