As a 26-year-old and the oldest of four siblings in a single-parent household, I have always taken on a caretaker role, ensuring my siblings were supported and looked after. This experience instilled in me a strong sense of responsibility and patience from an early age. While pursuing my undergraduate degree, I further honed these skills by working with the Upward Bound program. In this role, I tutored and mentored students every weekend, helping them navigate academic challenges and build confidence in their abilities. Additionally, I worked with Job 1 as a camp counselor for three consecutive summers. This position allowed me to develop creative ways to engage and educate children in a fun, safe environment while fostering teamwork and leadership skills. These experiences have shaped my ability to connect with and support children of various ages, both in educational and recreational settings.
