Hello! My name is Sheridan Smith & I'm a recent graduate of Northwestern State University. I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry, and plan to pursue a career as a Physician Associate. I started working with kids when I was around 10 years old. Most evenings after school, I would watch my younger brother so that my single mom could stay at work later or get other necessary errands completed. When I turned 12, I started babysitting for my neighbor who had a 0-1 year-old & a 4 year-old. I continued babysitting for more families throughout my high school & college years (mainly kids in elementary & middle school), and also held a position as an after school nanny for a family with of 2 (ages 6 & 9) my entire senior year of high school. During my high school summers, I worked for Read more Ochsner Fitness Center’s KidSports where I supervised children ranging from 3 years-old to 13 years-old, however, I was mainly responsible caring for the 3-4 year old age group. My most recent experience has come from babysitting my niece occasionally from the time she was 9 months old until now (1.5yrs old). My responsibilities throughout the past 13 years have included carline/driving home from school, cleaning dishes/light housework, preparing snacks, crafts, tutoring/homework help, creating fun indoor/outdoor activities & playing along! In my free time, I enjoy playing with my rescue pup, enjoying the outdoors by going on a hike or fishing, watching movies/documentaries & musicals, exercising, dancing, doing crafts, and spending time with my friends & family.
