My name is A’Lanya and i’m 22. I am currently a senior at Southeastern Louisiana University where I am major to become a teacher and specialize in PreK-3. I have a lot of experience with children due to be the oldest and taking care of my siblings whenever my mom would work long shifts. I would always make sure to clean, cook and make sure everyone is nice and showered before heading to bed. Every time my siblings would have slumber parties for their birthdays, I was there to make sure everyone was taken care of because they were my responsibility. I was told that I have a mother figure because of how deeply I care for children. It’s one of the main reasons why I want to be a teacher. I love helping kids grow and become something of themselves.
