PLEASE READ NANNY ENTRY TOO.......I very recently took early retirement from a community services agency where I supervised a team of helping professionals who provided support services for children.  I was in that position for 12 years.  I hold a Masters degree in Human Services. Some of the initial requirements for both my under-graduate and graduate work, as well as some of the continuing education coursework I've completed have included courses in early childhood development. Additionally, and I believe just as important, I raised six children of my own.  Bringing them up afforded me a wide range of experience in children's personalities and life situations.  I am now receiving an entirely different kind and level of experience, with my 12 grandchildren who I love dearly.  I spend as much time as possible with them, but because they live far away, the time is much less than what this memaw would like.  As Read more you can see, I have lots of experience.  I love children and love spending time with them.   While I do enjoy having time off and away from the demands of an office, I do really miss having children in my life on a consistent basis.  This was my main motivation in making the decision to begin providing childcare. I am open to discussing whatever needs a parent may have in a childcare situation because I understand the absolute necessity for flexibility when dealing with various situations. So, I ask that parents who read my information regarding preferences about specific days/tasks etc will keep that in mind. Thank you for reading this bio.
