I am a 4th-year college student with a major in psychology and anthropology that focuses on children and families. When I am at school I am a Preschool/Pre-K teacher, so most of my experience is with 3-5-year-olds. I love my job because kids are funny, full of curiosity and fascinating as growing people. While learning about different child development theorists I developed a major interest in Bev Bos who was a major advocate for "risky play" and also encouraged the creativity of children even if it meant making a huge mess (to be cleaned up afterwards of course). Her philosophy helped tailor how I spent my time in the classroom, as did the philosophies of Friedrich Fröbel who found that children learn best while out in nature, not sitting in a classroom. I have certifications in CPR, Head trauma and psychological trauma from my job. I have been certified multiple Read more times in foodhandling and have been trained to administer Narcan. My hobbies include arts and crafts, mini hiking, PC gaming, and Tabletop gaming. I love SpongeBob, Barbies, Nintendo, exploration, learning, and listening to music.
