I am a recently separated army veteran. I am CPR and First Aid qualified. I have enjoyed taking care of kids and animals since I was very young. When I was 14 I was taking care of my cousin, whom has epilepsy, full time after school. In this time I fed her and bathed and changed her. We often played arts and crafts and danced around to music. I also helped her get ready in the morning before school and onto her bus. When I turned 17 I joined the military. I have volunteered on numerous occasions at the YMCA as a camp counselor for kids 6-16. Some of the camps lasted a week long and I would stay at the camp to ensure the camper was taken care of. Some of the things I did were: help kids get dressed, hygiene, took them horse back riding, swimming, arts and Read more crafts, and other activities within the camp. I also enjoy volunteering at the local animal shelters. I usually clean out cages, feed and water the animals, play and brush the animals. I have one dog and a soon to be step son who is 4.
