I participated in the Au Pair in America program in 2010 and lived in Bethesda, Maryland where I was responsible for two children ( 4 and 7) for a 1 year . I returned to my country after finishing my Au Pair year to complete my college degree in early childhood education. I specialize in working with kids from newborns to 6 years old. While attending college I worked for 1 year in the government daycare center for low income children ages 1 to 18. There we provided education, food, and worked to motivate them to stay in school, the mission of the site is to take away the idea that people can not be better and that they have rights as anyone to continue their studies and have a better future. My role within the day center was to assist the teacher in all the preschool activities this included Read more field trips to government events and recreational activities. Next i began my internship for my college in a school with special needs children where I was responsible to teach along side a veteran teacher. The main goals were to teach language development and early stimulation for a group of 25 children. Within the group we had children with disabilities such as down syndrome, autism, asperger, and attention deficit disorder. These workshops lasted six months and I took great satisfaction in working with them, I graduated from college in August 2013 and began my first full time teaching position at the International School of Queretaro. This school belongs to the Unesco bilingual schools with an age range of nursery to high school with students from over 27 countries . In my classroom i had 6 beautiful children from 1 year to 2 years old, I was proud to have been part of the teaching staff where everyday I learned something new and the kids filled me with happiness every day. I'm a very responsible person and I know that child care requires patience, energy, creativity, love, and dedication. I believe that accompanying children in discovering the world is an immensely gratifying experience. Due to my experiences i am comfortable with ages from newborns to middle school but prefer younger children. One of the things i enjoy the most educational activities that allow kids to learn while playing. I am very versed in changing and feeding if that is needed.
