Hi there! My name is Kirbi. I am a mother of 3 and a bonus mom to 2 more. I have been married going on 10 years, and during this time my husband has been in the military. Being a military spouse, I have been lucky enough to meet many wonderful families. Even better - it’s allowed me to help care for so many families' amazing kiddos! When interacting with my children or yours, I feel it essential to always be patient, calm, and understanding. My responsibility is to create a safe, healthy, and stimulating environment for your child; and I will always strive to do so in the most nurturing manner possible. I am knowledgeable about child development, which helps me create age-appropriate activities tailored to your child’s interests. I believe in engaging with children at their level. Even if it’s simply having an open heart and open ears. Read more Furthermore, I am experienced in helping children with their social and emotional needs. With me, children will not just be well taken care of, but they will also learn and grow. I'd like to add that while not formally trained in caring for children with special needs, I do have first-hand experience taking care of children with special needs. I have cared for several non-verbal children. Also, my youngest son (5 years old) suffered brain damage at birth and is disabled, delayed, and non-verbal. If your child has any special needs they would always be loved and never be treated differently. I have had some medical training, fire safety training, chemical safety training, I am certified in safe food handling, I know basic and advance first aid, and I also know CPR. I’m excited about the opportunity to work with your family! “Teach children what to think and you limit them to your ideas. Teach children how to think and their ideas are unlimited.”
