My biggest passion in life - genuinely - is caring for and teaching children of all ages, infant to teenager. I recognize how much of an impact each and every one of our words, actions, and reactions have on little ones, and just how important it is to be mindful and intentional with each interaction shared with them. I’m incredibly considerate and compassionate, and my ability to empathize with and form a genuine understanding of each child on an individual basis is plain to see to both kids and adults. I reciprocate the respect given to me, and it creates an environment of trust & comfort, where children are not only able but encouraged and motivated to flourish and thrive, succeeding in key ambitions including, but not limited to - reaching/surpassing developmental milestones, excelling in school curriculum, and promoting social & emotional development, which I am incredibly passionate about & Read more believe is crucial for quality of life, not only during childhood but also as they move into adolescence and adulthood. Positive and nurturing experiences have a significant impact on a child’s social-emotional development & are the foundation for how children feel about themselves, how they think and interact with their world, and what they come to expect from others. As far as my experience in the field goes - I have 4 years of professional experience being a lead teacher, 2 of which was spent leading a pre-k/kindergarten prep classroom for children ages 5-6, & the other 2 leading a preschool classroom for children ages 3-4. Throughout those 4 years, Ive spent time as a float teacher assisting with other age groups in classrooms caring for children beginning at 6 weeks old & up to 7 years old, and every age in between. I also have personal experience caring for children ages 6 weeks - 12 years. I have my Child Development Associates (CDA) certification as well as a degree in Early Childhood Education. I’m CPR/First Aid/AED certified for both infants & adults and have also obtained my Infant Safe Sleep certification by the state of Indiana. I’m also a pet lover & happy to care for any pets you may have in the home. I have a knack for cleaning & organization as well, and am happy to assist with any & all housework and/or meals you’d like me to, and am open to helping any other tasks or activities you’d like assistance with.
