I have a small licensed home daycare located in Jeffersonville, Indiana. I do not usually keep more than seven children at one time, including school-age children. I began several years ago keeping children in my home because I had young children and could not find affordable and dependable daycare. Though my children are now grown, I continue to run a licensed daycare out of my home. I have experience with children of all ages, as well as some experience with children with special needs, such as health as well as developmental. One of my own children has high-functioning autism and running a small daycare out of my home helped him quite a bit due to being around a smaller number of children. I have had a few children with autism through my daycare and it has helped them to prepare for preschool and kindergarten by being around a smaller number Read more of children first so it is not as overwhelming. I do not have snow day closures unless my house is directly affected due to no power or something of that nature. Therefore, if other daycares or schools are closed and you have to work, you will not have to worry about my daycare being closed. I believe first and foremost that children need a place where they can feel safe and loved. When they feel that way, they can learn. I also feel that parents need security in feeling that their child is safe and provided for. Children are special and they are important in our lives. They deserve to feel safe and made to feel special. My hours are 8-5 Monday through Friday. Please contact me for more information.
