Hello! My name is Stephanie Taylor, and I am 24 years old. I am a master's level social worker, and I currently work full time to coordinate home and community-based services for older adults in Central Illinois to remain living independently in the community. While my professional passion and experience is to work with seniors, I also love working with children and have some experience working with children with disabilities! While I have about a year of formal babysitting experience, I am also the oldest of 6 girls back home in Chicago! Currently, their age ranges are 10 years old to 21! Throughout high school, I took on a lot of responsibility to take care of them while my parents worked a lot. These responsibilities include helping with homework, cooking for them, bathing them, and making sure they get to bed on time! I've also babysat for other family members Read more as well. Additionally, I have three years of experience working as an Inclusion Aide in the Chicago Park District. This experience allowed me to work with children with disabilities in the summer day camp setting. Responsibilities here include assisting campers with various tasks, such as recreational activities, behavior management, feeding, and toileting. Most of the children I worked with had autism and were higher functioning. As of now, I have a full time job that keeps me busy during the week. However, my weekends are extremely flexible, so I can likely do regular weekend babysitting or occasional babysitting depending on the needs of the family. I enjoy working with children, have my own car, and am a non-smoker! I am also registered to complete a CPR training in early June and look forward to gaining this valuable skill.
