I have helped care for a number of my younger cousins since I was very young. I began sitting for other families at the age of 13. I love working with children and have used my experience with kids in my career as a special education teacher. I spent 13 years working as a special education teacher in both the regular education classroom as well as special education classrooms with children with physical and intellectual disabilities as well as behavioral challenges. I have several very special kiddos and families in Florida,Tennessee, and Colorado where I recently moved from, that have become like family after caring for their children for a period of several years. I am extremely qualified and experienced and I use my time with children as an opportunity to provide active and fun educational activities and not just letting the computer or television do the work. I am Read more CPR and first aid trained and I am also trained and experienced with g-tube feedings, lifting and transferring, self help and personal care skills, and seizure monitoring. I have experience working with adults with special needs, as well as caring for individuals with Alzheimer's/dementia. I have a reliable 4WD SUV and I am non smoker.
