Hi! My name is Patricia. I recently graduated from Illinois State University with a major in Education and Human Services. I worked at a daycare for 6 years. I have been a caregiver for about 11 years. I started babysitting when my best friend's aunt had twins. I was also a mother's helper for 2 children (one which had Down Syndrome). From there I was able to start getting my own "clients". The "types" of families I babysit for vary. One family had 2 children (about 3 years apart), one just had a 7 year old boy, I've babysat twins, helped with triplets; it really just varies. I have babysat for all ages, and working at the daycare has given me experience with many age groups; so I don't really have a preference. I also don't mind being around pets. I've had many pets growing up so it does not Read more bother me. When babysitting I don't have any specific rules. I kind of depend on the parent to tell me their rules and how they discipline (if need be). I like to have fun with the kids. I enjoy playing with them but am also sure to follow the parent's guidelines.
