Hi there!! My name is Jackie Billie, I’m 27 years old, a former collegiate volleyball player, former corporate professional, and current part-time graduate student studying clinical mental health. I started nannying when I was 13 to a baby boy and his older brother who stole my heart for almost 5 years. Eventually, I was recommended by this family to another who had 3 boys, ages 5, 7, and 11… one of which has autism. My responsibilities included making sure they were on the bus for summer school, reviewing their summer reading material, and playing outside (aka minimizing screen time as much as possible with three young boys). In college, I tutored and nannied a 7 and 13 year old, one of which was homeschooled and struggling to pass the 7th grade. I helped graduate him out of middle school so that he could attend high school in person. My summer Read more consisted of picking up and dropping off at summer camp activities, cooking, cleaning, planning birthday parties, participating in arts and crafts, and tutoring. My time nannying paused once I graduated and got into the corporate world to pursue an adventurous career in accounting and business development. My decision to step away for a bit is one I’m confident will serve me greatly in the future as I pursue additional degrees and professional experiences. Plus, I am extremely empathetic towards families who truly need this support, even when they’re working from home.
