Hey there! I’m Lyd, a responsible, warm and patient sitter with a passion for education and creativity. I work as a substitute teacher for Chicago Public Schools with a flexible schedule, usually finishing no later than 3:00pm. I have my own vehicle, am an experienced driver with a clean driving record, and am happy to provide school or activity transport. I enjoy being outdoors whether it’s kicking around a soccer ball after school or heading to a nearby park after school, but am also happy doing crafts, reading, playing board games or whatever else you know will keep your child engaged! My childcare background includes a wide range of experiences, from tutoring a group of boys 8-13 at a local non-profit, to providing after school pickup and care to an awesome 5th grader. As a substitute teacher, I work with every age group, so I’m happy and comfortable with kids ages 1-15, and their differing needs. In my free time I enjoy writing music, exploring new coffee shops, biking in and out of the city, and playing with the dogs I foster.
