I have been babysitting and caring for children for as long as I can remember. My first experiences caring for children started when I was very young. I am sure it probably sounds silly, but all of the local moms knew they could count on me to take the little ones off their hands for an hour or two and they would be well cared for. My love for caring for children grew from there and has continued. Throughout high school and college I worked with several families, many of which were welcoming their first baby into the family. I have worked with many newborns as well as premature babies and many toddlers and older children as well. I have always been interested in the medical and healthcare field. I have worked as a phlebotomist/medical assistant and for years as a inpatient nurse assistant at Lurie's Children's Hospital. I also Read more received my Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences. But I am constantly drawn back to working with infants. After working with many new moms who suffered a few up and downs after birth, I really feel that I can be there to help with baby, but also offer support for parents. I have come to understand that each baby I care for is unique and every family has their own ways of doing things. I will listen to your needs and will accommodate to anything that you need help with. I think one of the biggest gifts I can give parents is the gift of sleep and you can only get that if you trust me. Once you meet me, I feel very confident that you will see I will take exceptional care of your newborn baby. I want you to rest and wakeup knowing your baby was cuddled and nurtured. I have personal and professional experience breastfeeding, but also a ton of experience with bottle feeding. I can establish a very healthy feeding and sleeping routine, swaddle your baby like a pro, detect any tummy issues and so much more. A little more about me: I am a mother, so I know how hard the first year is. My son is 12 years old, I am bi-lingual and speak Spanish. I worked at Lurie Children's Hospital for years and I was nominated for the Daisy award. I am finding that working with infants and families is where I am most happy and I truly hope to have the opportunity to work with you and your family as you bring home your new little one, I would be honored and grateful to help!
