I love children with my whole heart. I am currently going to school to be a children and teens therapist. There is something so rewarding when you learn about a child and what makes them happy or what calms them down. I have been babysitting since I was in junior high for a family friend (paid position). I also have volunteered for four years at the Camp Invention Program. Essentially, I worked with kids from 1st-6th grade for eight hours a day for a week. It was my job to help the instructor manage the classroom and keep the kiddos calm and engaged. Beyond that, I have also babysat in high school for middle school aged kids. I have experience in working with kids with special needs. I have been taught safe CPR techniques for multiple ages. I am patient and not easily frustrated. I enjoy providing emotional and educational support for kids who are struggling or having a bad day. I am also willing to come up with age-suitable activities, so the child is not bored at home or glued to a screen.
