Hi! My name is Makya but I go by Kya. I am the second oldest of all my cousins--which meant growing up I was my extended family's built in babysitter. I have been babysitting since I was 10 until now and have always connected with children and am just a naturally nurturing person. I have extended my childcare experience by working in mental health pediatrics at an institute where I oversaw children from the ages of 10-17. Additionally, I worked at the University of Iowa Hospital as a Patient Care Technician, which is a step above a CNA. I am CPR certified, first aid certified, and have experience working with any ages as little as 2 months old. I pride myself in being a step up from a traditional babysitter by constantly providing interactions with children so they aren't glued to their phone and love encouraging physical activity and creativity. Read more I am a very good cook as well and am able to meal prep, clean concisely and cohesively, and just provide an overall wonderful experience for your family as a whole.
