I am a 24-year-old University of Iowa graduate who is continuing my education at Iowa for my Masters of Science in Child-Life, so basically, I specialize in kids! I started working with kids at 12 as a mom's helper for 2 twin boys and have progressed and furthered my experience through babysitting, nannying, and travel nannying for the last 12 years. I also work part time at ChildServe, and obtained my undergraduate degree in Therapeutic Recreation, so my knowledge and skillset for kids with disabilities is well established! I have 2 dogs, Prudence and Delilah who are the loves of my life! Prudence is my 2-year-old service dog, so having her with me is always my main goal, however, if her presence interferes with what you wish for your child(ren), or other pets in your home, I can work around my not having her. We'll work together! She is about Read more 40 pounds, was specifically trained to work well with young kids in preparation for getting placed with me, and she is hypoallergenic! She is great with other pets and will be working with me at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics as a Child Life Student this Fall! It's been a very beneficial partnership between Prudence and I, not just for my own health, but for my even greater ability to care for children and educate them on a variety of topics, including invisible disabilities! I also LOVE Disney as well as all music and musical theater, something I have pursued heavily since the age of 5. I recently started my own photography business, and can also make amazing english muffin pizza bites! My goal in caring for children is for them to have fun, feel confident in their abilities, and to feel the same amount of love from me as they do from you! My education in working with children has given me many skills to be able to do all of these things, as well as provide a safe place for kids to feel and experience emotions in all amounts. I hope you feel the upmost confidence in utilizing me to care for your tiny humans!
